Candida Cleanse Diet

The candida cleanse diet is used to combat an overgrowth of a yeast called Candida Albicans.

Candida Albicans is a type of fungal or yeast infection which generally occurs in different parts of the body, like mouth, throat, and rectum etc. If a person becomes affected due to the overgrowth of this yeast then his body, and especially his immune system, becomes very weak.

Candida infection lowers the enzyme production of the digestive system.

This is a reason why the person having this disease suffers a lot due to indigestion. Doctors say the overgrowth of Candida occurs when the pH balance of the body becomes acidic. Men and women both can suffer from this.

If the overproduction of the yeast becomes chronic then it can result to various symptoms. It can lead the patient to suffer from severe abdominal pain, skin diseases, fatigue etc. Under these circumstances, the level of the body vitamins and minerals gets reduced significantly due to the immune system deficiencies.

This makes the situation even worse as the patient can’t fight back against the yeast infection and it grows over the time. As the digestive system becomes weaker the patient needs to follow a different diet chart. He has to avoid certain foods which the body can not digest.

Here are some of the foods which a Candida infected patient must avoid for Candida cleansing.
  • Sugar can increase the growth of the yeast. So the foods which contain high amount of sugar should not be eaten at all. Beside that the list also includes artificial sweeteners, chocolates, honey, fruit juices, apples, grapes, banana etc. Drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited at this stage as they may worsen the situation.
  • Foods which contain high portion of carbohydrates should not be taken during this time.
