Learn About Detox and Weight Loss

Let's talk about detox and weight loss.

Detox and weight loss is a difficult subject to grasp sometimes.

When we’re born, our bodies begin the process of attempting to remove the accumulated toxins via several organs. The colon, kidneys, lungs, liver, skin and the lymph system work every hour of the day isolating, herding and eliminating toxins. This is a natural process, and one that we don’t have to think about to perform. However, this poses a problem as well.

We may not need to think to perform detoxification of our system, but we need to do some serious thinking about helping our poor, overworked organs to do the job of detox and weight loss. The reason is this, as time goes by, our bodies become overburdened by the sheer magnitude of toxins that are ingested into them. They try, but cannot keep up with the load. Toxins are found in what we eat, drink and even in the air we breathe.

Choices make a difference with Detox and Weight Loss

Even our food choices can have a negative impact on our bodies ecosystem, throwing it out of kilter and making it more difficult to perform the natural function of eliminating toxins. Our diet includes an overabundance of animal protein, caffeine, alcohol and saturated and trans fats.

All these can cause your body to become overworked and unable to completely eliminate all the toxins. In the end, your energy level will drop, your immune system will be compromised, and your digestion will be impaired.

The colon plays an important part in the process of toxic buildup as well. The colon can become overloaded with waste, and eventually become clogged up. As time goes by, more and more putrid waste is trapped in the colon, causing it to have a hard time absorbing valuable nutrients into the blood stream.

Hard, sticky lumps adhere to the colon wall, reducing the space through which waste can travel on the way out of the body. This process is how the other body systems begin to stop up and have a hard time doing their jobs as well.

Our bodies store toxins

As this happens on a daily basis, eventually your body is forced to deal with the overload of toxins by other methods. Instead of eliminating the toxins, the body will wrap them in fat, or mucus and store them for later removal. The more toxins that need to be stored, the more extra fat and mucus your body will have to carry to store them.

Research has shown that reducing the toxic load in the body, by detoxing and colonics, naturally causes the body to flush away extra fat. So that being the case, detox is an excellent method of causing natural weight loss. The miracle of Detox and Weight Loss begins.

Feeling better through detox and weight loss

Doing colon cleanses, and colonics, as well as detoxing the liver, kidneys and bladder many times unstops the system, opening clogs and allows the body to begin functioning properly again. The easier it is for the body to use the nutrients provided, the less it will ask for more nutrients, in the form of cravings. The desire for sweet or fatty foods is reduced, and you begin to feel better.

So, detox and weight loss can go hand in hand.

It can also create a cycle in which the detox makes you feel better and have more energy, and you in turn want to exercise. You may also be more inclined to eat a healthier diet because of the way it makes you feel. The cycle of detox and weight loss has begun.

Detox and Weight Loss, One Step at a Time

I know it’s sometimes a long, long road to recovery and ultimate good health, but if you’re finding it difficult to lose weight, or if the weight never stays off any length of time, it’s a good bet it’s a result of the toxic load your body is carrying. Consider beginning with a good colon cleanse. Make certain it is one that targets the mucoid plaque that builds up on the colon walls.

Excellent ways to remove the mucoid plaque are to use a colon cleanse such as Dr. Natura’s system. In the beginning, you will need to do this cleanse for a full three months, but eventually it can be done one month at a time. As maintenance, you should do a colon cleanse twice a year to keep the colon in top condition.

Another method, which is less expensive, but probably more difficult to accomplish is the Master Cleanse. The master cleanse is a diet that can be done for as little as three days, but for maximum effect a nine day or more regimen is required.

After cleaning your colon, you’ll find you feel rejuvenated. Cleaning the mucoid plaque from the walls of the colon allows it to perform its function of extracting nutrients from the food you eat and delivering them to the starved cells of your body. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how much better you feel after doing a colon cleanse.

The Next Step in Detox and Weight Loss

The next step is a natural liver cleanse. See my page on the natural liver cleanse here. This detox takes only one day, and you’ll be shocked at how many cholesterol stones are blocking the ducts of your liver. You may need to do the liver flush (natural liver cleanse) multiple times to achieve the best results.

Then the Kidneys

Then, after your liver is clean and functioning properly, move on to the kidneys. Do a kidney cleanse and persist in this portion until your kidneys are healed and functioning properly. There are many other methods of detox, ionic foot bath, modifilan, chelation, and too many more to detail here. The final result of this, which can take several years to accomplish, is that your body will then be ready to drop the fat it has been carrying around to insulate you against the toxins.

In my own case, I’ve found that often I will drop five or ten pounds with absolutely no effort when I cleanse my body of toxins. My entire life has been a struggle with my weight. At times I would diet and lose weight, keep it off for years sometimes, and then something would happen and on would pack twenty, thirty or even fifty pounds.

The last time this happened, I ballooned up to nearly 200 pounds. This may not seem like much to a tall person, but on my five-foot-nothing frame it puts me well into the obesity classification.

As I began to detox, I dropped five or ten pounds on several occasions, and it would stay off. Today I’m still at about 170, which leaves me about 15 pounds into the obese category. Because I’ve spent several years doing various detox programs, I feel it’s time to address the weight.

So, I plan to begin a program of detox and weight loss.

Today, January 1, 2010, I intend to begin my quest to drop from the obese category to the healthy category. I’ll accomplish this by a simple reduction in calories, exercise and a detox program to continue my body cleansing. I’ll provide you with updates to tell you how my detox and weight loss program is going so you can see how effective it is.

Whatever day it might be, you can join me in this program. Do the detox methods I mention on this site, and see how well it works to help your body to shed that toxic fat you’ve been carrying.
