Try these detox diets; you'll find it's a very good way to get toxins out of your cells and on their way out of your body. Once you decide you need to remove toxins from your system, you will probably want to explore some of the great variety of diets that can be found on this site.


What Is a Detox Diet?

Imagine you’re at war with the world around you. Sadly, this is true in a way. The world is filled with chemicals, preservatives, auto exhaust, cigarette smoke, and thousands of toxins. These toxins float around in the air around us, the air we breathe. They are coated on fabric (think Teflon and flame retardant), and they lurk in the foods we eat. Ugh!

So how do we get away from them? That’s just it, we don’t! We can’t escape the toxins around us because they’re everywhere. Even eating organic foods and using toxin-free products in our home and on our body isn’t enough. Everything, and I mean everything has toxins in it.

The best we can do is minimize the damage by staying away from the worst offenders. But then what?

Then it’s time for the big guns. If all those toxins get into our bodies, and we know from what we’ve read on other pages on this site that our organs can’t eliminate all the toxins in our bodies, we have to resort to other measures to get the toxins out.

One of these diets is just the ticket to shake those toxins loose and push them out the door. There are some meant to cleanse the major organs, fasts to help the body rest and heal, diets to remove organisms like candida yeast, and short, simple refreshing diets to just help us feel better all over.

Because our bodies use fat as a way to insulate us from the toxins that can't be eliminated fast enough by the detox organs, the liver, kidneys, lungs..., using a one of these diets to remove toxins from our bodies is a very effective method of reducing weight.

As toxins are released from the fat cells, those fat cells are no longer needed and the body simply flushes them away. What a great way to lose weight!
