My quest for detox began with my never ending allergies to various stuffs because of the toxins accumulated in my body. The artificial food and the artificial lifestyle I followed started increasing the number of allergens too. I became allergic to dust. It led to catching a cold and then proceeded on to breathing problems and I ended as an asthma patient. I can hardly stand any dust & even dusting a few books led to severe cold and wheezing problems. I was also allergic to metals. I could not wear any metal ornaments other than those made from gold, silver, plastic, steel and platinum. Every other metal caused skin irritation. Then I became allergic to food stuffs. I became severely allergic to pineapple. I was finding it difficult to eat out, which was one of my favorite things to do. That is when i heard about detox.
I started reading about detox diets on the internet and narrowed down to fruit diet. I started on a 30 day fruit diet. I started with shopping for seasonal fruits as I find then much more tastier and flavorful than non-seasonal fruits. And they are cheaper too. I used to eat whatever fruit or fruit juice I feel like eating at any time of the day for the initial days. I made sure to eat all fruits raw. After the first week, I could regulate my eating to 5 a day and a regular pattern set in. I could also feel my body being light and fresh all day long. I needed lesser sleep but still woke up very fresh.
After successful completion of the 30 day diet I could see my skin glow. The frequency of allergy attacks reduced significantly and I can now clean my room without wearing a mask. My visits to the doctor's clinic has reduced a lot, thanks to the detox diet!!!. I am planning to follow the same diet once every year. Why not try it yourself?
Response from Cheryl Cholley:
Thanks so much for your story. I used to have allergies very bad and fresh, raw fruits and vegetables make a huge difference in how I feel. I don't use an all raw fruits and veggies diet, but I do notice that the more I eat that is not on that list the worse problems I have.
This was a wonderful story and I'm glad you're feeling better now.
