Try My Fried Cabbage Recipe

This fried cabbage recipe is a favorite of my husband. He loves it when I walk out back to the garden and come back with a head of cabbage because he knows what’s coming.

If you’re on the Wild Rose Cleanse, this is one of my best Wild Rose Detox recipes as well. You’ll find all the ingredients on the 80% list, so you can indulge and not feel guilty.

Most recipes include bacon. Although the diet does allow bacon, it’s not on the list of top recommended items. This means to me that you really shouldn’t eat them, but it’s hard for people to do the detox without some of those items. I stay away from them.

This recipe doesn’t include it, but it doesn’t need it. It still tastes amazing. Bacon is not often on my diet anyway because the nitrites are way up on the cancer-causing toxins list. I regularly avoid pork, and any bacon I bring into my home has to be organic and include no nitrites.

I still can’t believe something like this could be eaten on a diet, any diet, but sure enough you can enjoy and still detox. Wow!

Here’s my Fried Cabbage Recipe

Ingredients

  • one head cabbage
  • one large onion
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Wash and shred the cabbage. Peel and slice the onion, separate rings. Place the oil in a large frying pan and add the veggies. Cook on high, turning often, until the cabbage and onions are fully cooked. Continue to cook and turn the veggies until they begin to caramelize. Add salt and pepper to taste, and enjoy!
