Heavy Metal Cleanse

Heavy metals invade our bodies daily, and it's important to learn about how to do a heavy metal cleanse to rid yourself of these invaders.

So What’s the Big Deal?

To learn about heavy metal cleanse, we first need to know what heavy metal poisoning, or heavy metal toxicity is.

Here we’ll learn what it is, how you get heavy metals in your body, where they are stored, how to test for heavy metals and how to get rid of them.

Once heavy metals are introduced into our bodies, our system doesn’t know what to do with them. They are not required for normal metabolism, so the body must either store them or eliminate them.

Due to the huge toxic load we are all subjected to on a daily basis, heavy metals normally end up being stored. Our organs of elimination are simply so overworked that it’s impossible to get rid of all the toxins we take in.

As a result, the heavy metals are stored in our fat cells, our organs, and yes, even our brains! Here’s where we get the huge numbers of clinically obese, the fat cells of our bodies are a convenient place to store metals, so the body simply accumulates more to hold onto the supply of metals it’s given to deal with.

This is also how altzheimer’s disease is thought to originate. Aluminum is a major culprit in the formation of amyloid plaques that are responsible for dementia.

Other places heavy metals are stored are your central nervous system, and your glands. No part of your body is safe from heavy metal poisoning.

Various links on this page will take you to other pages that expand into more detail about various aspects of the subject of heavy metal toxicity and heavy metal cleanse.

Metals We Carry Around -

Inside, not the stuff in your pocket

There are quite a number of heavy metals that lurk inside our cells, causing us discomfort, disease, and misery. These include:

  • iron,
  • lead,,
  • cadmium,
  • arsenic
  • mercury,
  • aluminum,
  • antimony,
  • chromium,
  • cobalt,
  • copper,
  • manganese,
  • nickel,
  • selenium,
  • tin,
  • thallium
  • and uranium.

You may notice that the above list contains trace metals that are considered essential to health. This is true. There’s a fine line between what is needed by the body and what can cause toxicity. .

Various forms of testing can determine which metals are in the essential range and which are in our bodies at toxic levels.

These metals are found in the body in almost microscopic chunks, far smaller than the human eye can see. However, if you want an example of what you might find, try an ionic foot bath.

The metals pulled from your feet during the ionic foot bath actually clump together in small lumps, so you can see them floating in the water. Each time I use my ionic foot bath I’m amazed and horrified at the amount of metals that are pulled from my body.

That's a real indication that I need to continue my heavy metal cleanse.

Symptoms of Heavy Metal Toxicity – Who Knew?

How do you know you have heavy metal toxicity? Scientists have done numerous tests on the levels of heavy metals in the systems of humans, and believe about 50% of us need heavy metal detox.

According to the naturopath we visited, the percentage is much, much higher. Virtually every person on the planet is exposed to heavy metals. Metals such as mercury have even been found in the tissues of the Alaskan Inuit, at the North Pole!

Here is a brief list of a few of the symptoms that you might experience if you have an overload of heavy metals:
  • vision problems, progressive blindness,
  • nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
  • pain, including headache, abdominal pain, joint and muscular pain,
  • mental confusion, short-term memory loss, apathy, dementia, anorexia, irritability, depression, excitement, anxiety, delusions, shyness, psychosis, mental deterioration
  • stomach and kidney troubles, kidney failure
  • hypertension, constipation, weight loss
  • and many, many more.

So now you know everyone is likely to have heavy metal toxicity, do you want to know if you personally carry heavy metals in your system so you can start your heavy metal cleanse?

Take the Test – Heavy Metal Testing

There are three main methods of determining your level of heavy metal poisoning, or toxicity.

Chelation, the most detailed and accurate, is also the most costly alternative. To do a chelation test, you must first find a health practitioner who is licensed to perform the procedure.

You will visit the office of your chosen health practitioner and he or she will give you an IV Chelation treatment. Afterwards, you will collect urine and bring it back after several hours to be tested.

The chelation treatment loosens some of the heavy metal accumulation from your cells and it is excreted in your urine. The testing will show what metals you have in your system, and what level each is at.

Hair analysis is a test that is less expensive, however it is also less accurate. The subject takes a sample of his or her hair, taken from the back of the neck or from the pubic area, and sends it to a lab for analysis.

Many people consider this method to be inaccurate because it can’t detect levels of heavy metals located in bones or teeth. There are various labs that can perform this testing if you choose this method. You can find a source for hair analysis at Health Home Test. Or, you can simply do an internet search for hair analysis to find other options.

A heavy metal screen test is an even less costly alternative. While the precision and accuracy of the test may not be as high as the other two methods mentioned, this test can be done at home and you can get immediate results.

To do this test, simply visit The BeeWell Company and purchase a kit for about $12.00. When it arrives, follow the instructions and read your own results. It’s that simple!

With the range of options available, almost anyone can find out whether they are in need of heavy metal detox, right? Soon you'll be able to do your own heavy metal cleanse with my help.

Where does all that metal come from?

  • My major issues are with the mercury in amalgam fillings and the aluminum in underarm deodorants, but there are a multitude of other sources for heavy metals that we come in contact with daily. Talk with your doctor about thimerosal before allowing your child (or yourself) to be vaccinated for any disease.
  • Those cans you drink your sodas from leach aluminum into the drink, and it is carried right into your body. Aluminum cookware should be avoided at all costs. You can also find aluminum in aluminum foil and canned foods.
  • Fish can contain mercury and cadmium. Tuna is often highly contaminated with metals. Meat from commercial farms can carry a heavy load of arsenic.
  • Laxatives, hair dyes, antacids, cosmetics, suppositories and fabric softeners are common household products laden with heavy metals. Cadmium can even be found in the soils at some farms, which will then cause produce to be contaminated with it.
  • The air you breathe can be laden with heavy metals, too. Cigarette smoke and air pollution load your system with cadmium. Arsenic and other heavy metals abound in air pollution, including those metals injected into the air from the use of coal.
  • You’ll find yourself exposed to heavy metals through the use of wood preservatives, batteries, paint, floor waxes and polishes, and plastics. You’ll find lead in gasoline and lead pipes, too.
  • Any sort of agricultural work results in exposure. You’ll find mercury in pesticides and fungicides. Other heavy-metal exposure can be found in industrial jobs, pharmaceutical manufacturing and mining.
  • Then, just to be safe, avoid tattoes, and of course broken mercury thermometers.
  • Even the water you drink can be a source of heavy metals, so beware.
