My Ayurvedic Detox Routine

Due to my fast paced schedule, my diet most of the time happened to be processed or canned foods, as I had very little or no time to cook.

Processed and canned foods has certain amounts of aluminum present in it. I realized that pretty late, I guess!

I started getting severe headaches and body aches, which first I thought were because of the stress and so ignored them. But then I would get stomach aches every now and then. That's when I realized that something was definitely wrong. I consulted my doctor who suggested me to go for a hair analysis, which helps in determining the levels of aluminum present in ones body.

I was pretty shocked with the results.I came to know about the Ayurvedic Detox Routine from one of my colleague, who himself had tried it and gained benefits from it.

It was a complete at-home ayurvedic detoxification routine which involved three simple steps. The first step was Preparation, which was a 15 days step in which I had to follow a strict detox diet. It sounded difficult for me in the beginning, but I did it as I realized that my body had suffered enough.

It was all about avoiding leftovers and canned foods, and switching to freshly cooked foods and drinking lots of hot water to flush out toxins. It was also about following a detox routine, which included proper sleep, regular exercises or yoga and a light massage.

The second step was Cleansing, which needed me to take a couple of ayurvedic tablets and also follow the preparation routine.

The third and final step was the Post Cleansing, in which I had to take some ayurvedic formulas and gradually add heavier foods to my diet.

Believe me guys, after this detox routine, I felt somewhat blessed. I felt lighter and energetic. The lethargy was gone and it was a new me. I shed few extra pounds as well.
